CONCORD, N.H. -- Are you planning a visit to New Hampshire’s lakes, streams or ponds?  N.H. Fish and Game offers a single-day freshwater fishing license to anglers who want to give New Hampshire angling a try.

The single-day license is a quick and inexpensive alternative for new anglers who may be curious about fishing but don’t want to commit to a full-year license. Prices are $10 for New Hampshire residents and $15 for non-residents.

Easy to Buy

There are three convenient ways to buy the license:

"Angling adventures here in New Hampshire are as diverse as the state itself," said Jason Smith, Inland Fisheries Division Chief. "With 12,000 miles of rivers and streams and 975 lakes and ponds in New Hampshire, you are never far from great fishing -- and the relaxation and magnificent scenery that go with it."

Target wild brook trout in our mountain streams, reel in a big bass in the Lakes Region, or venture out to the mighty Connecticut River, with more than a dozen different species of fish. You may want to enjoy a fish fry for dinner if you’re successful. Your purchase of a New Hampshire fishing license helps to support the work that conserves the resource and makes these opportunities available for future generations.

And don’t forget, if you’re heading for the coast, the annual fee for New Hampshire’s recreational saltwater fishing license is just $11 for residents and nonresidents.
