Sea Run Brown Trout Survey - Berry's Brook
If you fish for sea-run brown trout on Berry's Brook (also known as Berrys or Berry Brook) in Rye, NH, we need your help gathering catch and effort information.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department-Marine Fisheries Division has provided an opportunity to fish for sea-run brown trout in Berry's Brook, a coastal New Hampshire river, since 1964. Fish and Game stocks young sea-brown trout in Berry's Brook each spring and sometimes in the fall. The sea-run brown trout return in the late fall to Berry's Brook to spawn.
A volunteer angler survey is used to monitor the fishery. Anglers are asked to provide information for each trip -- such as length of fishing trip, number of fish caught, the length and weight of caught fish, location of capture, and comments.
Information from the volunteer angler survey is vital to the management of the sea-run brown trout program. This survey can be completed in paper format and submitted before January each year.
