National Archery in the Schools Program

NASPNew Hampshire schools invited to participate

The National Archery in the Schools Program, or NASP, is a program for teaching basic archery in the school setting. Archery is a life skill that improves concentration, hand-eye coordination and student self esteem. Dozens of New Hampshire schools are already participating in this exciting program.

How does the NASP program work? Schoolteachers (grades 4-12) are trained to be Basic Archery Instructors and then can teach their students the skills of archery. This can be done indoors or outdoors. Participation can involve tournaments between participating New Hampshire NASP schools.

To sign up for the NASP program in New Hampshire, or to learn more about the state's program, contact New Hampshire's National Archery in the Schools Program Coordinator Eric Geib at (603) 536-1290 or email eric.geib@wildlife.nh.gov.
