Lost Hunter Located in Marlow
KEENE, N.H. -- NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers had a successful conclusion to search for a lost hunter in Marlow late Saturday night into Sunday morning (October 7, 2012).
Eric Nutting, age 31, of Charlestown, N.H., went bowhunting for deer behind a friend’s house in Marlow Saturday afternoon. His family reported him overdue, and NH Fish and Game Conservation Officers were notified at 9:30 p.m.
At 1:15 am Sunday morning, Conservation Officers located Nutting approximately one-half mile from his vehicle. He was located in a densely wooded area in the vicinity of Pumpkin Hill in Marlow. Nutting was uninjured.
With the arrival of the fall hunting seasons, NH Fish and Game reminds sportsmen and women to prepare for the unexpected by carrying essentials such as flashlights as well as a map and compass. Map and compass familiarity is taught in all NH Hunter and Bowhunter Education courses, which are mandatory for all first-time hunters.
