Outdoor Adventure Talk April 4:
Paddle the Northern Forest Canoe Trail
CONCORD, N.H. -- Enjoy a virtual through-paddle on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail at a free outdoor adventure talk by the Trail's Director Kate Williams at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H.
The Northern Forest Canoe Trail is the longest inland water trail in the United States, extending 740 miles from the western edge of the Adirondacks in New York through Vermont, New Hampshire, and Quebec, to the northern tip of Maine. Williams will share some high points along this traditional Native American travel route, which offers opportunities for trips of various lengths, from an afternoon to a season.
The talk will also explain ways that the Trail helps link paddling visitors to the rural communities along the route, connects trailside youth to the outdoors through paddling and camping experiences, and engages volunteers in the important work of stewarding this world-class water trail. Bring your questions and your paddling dreams!
Maps and a guidebook will be available for sale, along with other information about the Trail. For more information, visit www.NorthernForestCanoeTrail.org.
The talk is sponsored by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department -- connecting you to life outdoors! Visit www.wildnh.com.
