Forum to be Held December 2, 2011, on Climate Change in Seacoast New Hampshire

GREENLAND, N.H. -- A discussion and collaborative forum on the topic of climate change in Seacoast New Hampshire will be held on Friday, December 2, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Hugh Gregg Coastal Conservation Center and the Great Bay Discovery Center, 89 Depot Road, Greenland, N.H. 03840.  Presented by the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (GBNERR), the National Estuarine Research Reserve System Science Collaborative and the Great Bay Stewards, the session is intended for an audience actively engaged in climate change adaptation, including scientists, local agencies, municipal leaders, watershed organizations and knowledgeable citizens.

This annual series of presentations and interactive dialogue aims to highlight local climate research and share local climate preparedness efforts and tools.  The main objective of the day is to participate in collaborative working sessions designed to identify gaps in information and actions that will help communities move forward effectively and efficiently.

There is a $15 registration fee, which includes a hot lunch. Space is limited. Following your email, please mail a check for $15 made payable to the Great Bay Stewards to Attn: Climate Summit, 89 Depot Road, Greenland, NH 03840.
