![]() |
CONCORD, N.H. -- Get the basics on training your bird dog at a free hunting talk by David Trahan, a well-known gun dog trainer and field trials trainer, on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, N.H. No pre-registration is required.
"Bird Dogs and Training Explored" will be presented by David Trahan, who has trained pointing and flushing bird dogs for more than 20 years. He and his wife Carol own and operate On Point Kennel, and their dogs have won many titles and awards.
At this session, Trahan will go over some of the essentials of training your bird dog. Most importantly, he'll be training you on how to train your dog. This seminar will appeal not only to those who have bird dogs, but to anyone who would like a better-mannered dog. Please leave dogs at home.
"Hunting over a well-trained dog is more than just a good time – it's a true bond between you and your dog," said Trahan.
Fish and Game's 2011 fall hunting talk series finishes up on September 14 with a final talk on "Calling Whitetails;" for more information, visit www.huntnh.com/Newsroom/News_2011/News_2011_Q3/hunt_talk_overview_080911.html.
