Public Meeting September 21, 2011, on Proposed Pine River Access Project in Ossipee

CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold an "open house"-style public meeting on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and again from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ossipee Town Hall Gym in Center Ossipee, N.H., to gather public comment on a proposed public boat access project on the Pine River in Ossipee.  The proposed project would make a number of improvements to the existing State-owned boat access facility that provides access to Ossipee Lake via the Pine River. Plans include creating designated parking for the site, replacing the existing boat ramp, installing a floating dock and constructing a separate cartop boat launch area.

The “Open House” format is not a formal sit-down hearing. Concerned citizens are encouraged to attend anytime during the specified hours to hear about the proposal, review the conceptual plan, ask questions and provide comments.  Fish and Game will also accept written comments and suggestions relative to this project, if postmarked by October 5, 2011, and submitted to: the N.H. Fish and Game Department, Facilities and Lands Division, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH  03301.
