Two Injured in Andover Trail Bike Crash
CONCORD, N.H. -- Two Andover residents were injured Thursday evening after their trail bike crashed on the Rail Trail between Andover and Franklin, N.H. Jordan Ingram, age 24, and his passenger Dawn Dragon, age 42, both of Andover, were riding a dirt bike on the trail in Andover when they ran into an iron gate on the railroad bed about 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011. All-Terrain Vehicles and trail bikes are prohibited on that section of the trail.
New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Conservation Officers responded to the scene, along with N.H. State Police and Andover Fire and Rescue personnel.
Jordan and Dragon were transported to Franklin Regional Hospital, and Dragon was subsequently transferred to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon with serious leg injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
The incident remains under investigation by Fish and Game.
