Lake Umbagog Boat Ramp in Cambridge, N.H., now Open
CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's boat access facility on Lake Umbagog in Cambridge, N.H., previously closed for repairs and improvements, has reopened. The boat ramp was replaced with a new concrete ramp and parking spaces delineated. There are now parking spaces for 16 trailered vehicles and 4 cartop vehicles with 2 being handicap reserved.
New Hampshire's Public Boat Access Program is funded through boat registration fees and federal Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration funds, a true user-pay, user-benefit program. Fish and Game's Facilities Construction and Lands Division acquires land for public water access sites, refurbishes existing sites and builds new public boat access areas.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect the state's fish, wildlife and marine resources and their habitats, as well as providing the public with opportunities to use and appreciate these resources. Visit http://www.wildnh.com.
