Still Room in “Becoming an Outdoors-Woman” Fall Workshop

CONCORD, N.H. – If you're a woman who wants to learn outdoor skills in the supportive company of other women, there's room for you in the fall Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) weekend workshop that takes place September 10-12, 2010, at Rockywold/Deephaven Camps on Squam Lake in Holderness, N.H.  This is your chance to learn about outdoor skills and survival, canoeing, freshwater fishing, hunting, bowhunting, field dressing big game, introduction to hunting or bowhunting, New Hampshire furbearers and more. Participants select four topics to explore during the weekend.

To sign up, visit www.nhbow.com and download the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman fall workshop brochure and mail-in registration form, or call 603-271-3212 or email aquatic-ed@wildlife.nh.gov to request an application.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first served basis, by mail or in person at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, 11 Hazen Drive, in Concord, N.H.  Classes fill up fast, so sign up soon if you are interested. Participants must be 18 years or older.

The workshop fee of $330 includes lodging for the weekend in the rustic charm of the cabins at Rockywold/Deephaven Camps, set on the shores of beautiful Squam Lake in Holderness, N.H.; plus full buffet-style meals, instruction and equipment use.
