Teen Missing in Londonderry Safely Located
CONCORD, N.H. -- The search for a Londonderry teenager, missing since Tuesday, successfully concluded at about 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3.
The family of 16-year-old Tyler Miller reported him missing at 11:00 p.m. on June 1. The Londonderry Police Department, N.H. State Police K-9 Unit and State Police Helicopter began the search. New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Conservation Officers and other crews were asked to assist on Wednesday morning.
Londonderry Police began receiving calls from people who had sighted Tyler on Thursday morning. Following up on those sightings, search crews located Tyler near Red Fern Lane in Londonderry, about a half-mile from his residence on Sara Beth Lane, where he was last seen. The area is a mix of residential and heavily wooded areas adjacent to Musquash Swamp and Conservation Area.
Fish and Game Lt. John Wimsatt described the young man as “exhausted and weathered from being out for a couple of days, but otherwise uninjured.”
The extensive search involved more than 60 individuals, including staff and volunteers from N.H. Fish and Game, New England K-9 Search and Rescue, the Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team, Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit, Londonderry Police Department, Londonderry Fire Department, the Londonderry Area Community ALERT Search and Rescue Team, and Litchfield Police Department.
