Winnisquam Boat Ramp (Laconia) to Be Closed on Wednesday, July 30
CONCORD, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's boat ramp on Lake Winnisquam (off Water Street in Laconia) will be closed from dusk on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, through 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new facility. Participation in the ceremony will be by invitation only.
"The Winnisquam boat ramp and parking area will be available for use after the ceremony, and no other closures are expected the remainder of the boating season," said N.H. Fish and Game Executive Director Glenn Normandeau. "We apologize for the inconvenience. It's important for us to recognize the completion of this facility, thank the many partners who helped make it happen and celebrate the opportunities it provides for the anglers and boaters of New Hampshire."
Fish and Game works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect the state's fish, wildlife and marine resources and their habitats. The Department's Land Resources Bureau acquires land for public water access sites, and its Support Services Division maintains existing sites and builds new public access areas.
