N.H. Fish and Game Commission July Meeting Cancelled; August 20 Meeting Moved to Holderness Location
CONCORD, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Fish and Game Commission meeting originally scheduled for July 16, 2008, has been cancelled. The next Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 20, at 1:00 p.m., at the Owl Brook Hunter Education Center on Perch Pond Road in Holderness. Meetings of the N.H. Fish and Game Commission are open to the public and are ordinarily held in Concord, N.H. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's Owl Brook Hunter Education Center educates individuals in the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to become safe and responsible hunters, trappers and stewards of the state's natural resources. The center hosts workshops, special events and talks conducted by Fish and Game staff, hunter education and center volunteers, and in partnership with organizations such as the N.H. Trappers Association and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Owl Brook facilities include shooting ranges, classroom space and self-guided interpretive trails.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is the guardian of the state's marine, fish and wildlife resources.
