Whitetail Insights -- Free Deer Hunting Talk on August 29
CONCORD, N.H. - If the cool air of the past week has you thinking about fall deer hunting, get an edge on the season by coming to a free talk called "Whitetail Insights" on Wednesday, August 29, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at New Hampshire Fish and Game headquarters on Hazen Drive in Concord. The session features avid deer hunter and state record buck holder John Klucky, along with Fish and Game Deer Biologist Kent Gustafson. No pre-registration is needed - just show up and enjoy!
New Hampshire's new state record buck holder John Klucky will share his perspective on successful tactics for finding deer, including scouting and patterning this year's buck. You'll hear a few good hunting stories, too, like how a simple ride for an ice cream can turn into a scouting mission, and, of course, the details of his hunt for the record buck.
N.H. Fish and Game deer biologist Kent Gustafson will offer the latest information on how New Hampshire's deer herd is faring. Bring your questions about deer habits and habitats for Kent, and find out why scientists are saying that it is the best of times for Granite State hunters!
"This is a great chance to get primed for fall hunting by hearing directly from hunting experts and Fish and Game biologists," said Mark Beauchense, Advertising and Promotions coordinator for Fish and Game. "Come pick up some strategies and talk hunting with fellow enthusiasts."
