Media Invited to Join Executive Councilor Ray Burton for Tour of Fish and Game Facilities
CONCORD, N.H. -- News reporters and outdoor writers are invited to join Executive Councilor Raymond Burton and New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Executive Director Lee Perry on Thursday, October 19, 2006, for a tour of several Fish and Game facilities and projects in Executive Council District 1. The tour will include photo opportunities and a variety of story leads. Members of the media are welcome to accompany the tour for the whole day or to join in at any point along the way.
Following is the touring schedule for the day:
8:00 - 9:30 a.m. -- Fish and Game Region 2 Office, New Hampton: Overview of New Hampshire Fish and Game Commission activities; Region 2 Fisheries activities; and ATV enforcement contracts.
9:30 - 10:00 a.m. -- New Hampton Hatchery, New Hampton:
Review of EPA effluent compliance projects.
10:30 - 11:00 a.m. -- Lees Mill Boat Access, Moultonborough: Discussion
of policy on aquatic plant treatment.
11:10 - 11:30 a.m. -- Fall Netting, Melvin Village:
Observe fall salmon netting.
12:00 - 1:25 p.m. -- Prescott Farm Audubon Center, Laconia: New
Hampshire Audubon Partnership; Lunch; UNH Cooperative Extension Partnership.
1:30 - 2:00 p.m. -- Paugus Bay Sports, Laconia: Review of hunting license promotion project; Discussion of the economic impact of hunting and fishing for N.H.
2:15 - 3:15 p.m. -- Winnisquam Boat Access
Project: Laconia

3:45 p.m. -- Conclusion of Tour: Region 2 Office New Hampton
