Pittsfield Boating/Angling Access Site Closed
August 4, 5 and 6
CONCORD, N.H. -- As
in past years, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department plans to close
its public boat access to the Suncook River in Pittsfield on August 4,
5 and 6, 2006, in cooperation with the Pittsfield Rotary Club's annual
Hot Air Balloon Rally at Drake Field. The closure reflects public safety
concerns related to the flight path of hot air balloons and the subsequent
fireworks display. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pittsfield
Rotary Club's Hot Air Balloon Rally.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect the state's fish, wildlife and marine resources and their habitats.
