New Outdoor Programming on MyTV Starts Saturday
CONCORD, N.H. -- This Saturday, June 17 at 7:30 pm, MyTV (WZMY-TV) in Derry, New Hampshire will launch My Outdoors -- a new 30-minute program that features up-to-the minute fishing, hunting and outdoor tips and strategies provided by New Hampshire Fish and Game. Appearing on the program will be hunting and fishing guides and other guests from around the state. My Outdoors features outdoor sports ranging from fishing, boating, hunting and hiking to snowmobiling and ice-fishing -- in keeping with the season. The new 13-week 2006 summer season will focus on fishing. My Outdoors will air weekly on Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Mondays at 11:30 pm.
Also premiering on MyTV is My Outdoor Report, a twice-weekly report featuring fishing reports, weather forecasts with Al Kaprielian, and outdoor tips from Fish & Game's Mark Beauchesne -- all with the weekend-minded sportsman or woman in mind. My Outdoor Report premieres Thursday, June 22 at 9:25 pm on MyTV and will air weekly on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:25 pm.
"The new programs are designed to provide people with the information they need to get outside and enjoy New Hampshire's great outdoors," said Gene Steinberg, MyTV's Chief Creative Officer. "It's part of our commitment to providing quality local programming on MyTV. And you might just find your next vacation hotspot!"
Program features for My Outdoors and My Outdoor Report are produced by New Hampshire Fish and Game and MyTV. Some topics to be featured include early season strategies for smallmouth bass, salmon fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee, bow hunting strategies, deer scouting tactics, hunting for upland birds, as well as topics on boating, hiking, snowmobiling, ice fishing and other outdoor pursuits.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department works to conserve, manage and protect the state's fish and wildlife and their habitats, and to provide the public with opportunities to use and appreciate these resources.
