MEDIA ADVISORY: Amoskeag Fishways Partnership
10th Anniversary Event, April 8 in Manchester

CONCORD, N.H. -- Members of the media are invited to attend an event on April 8 in Manchester to celebrate the success and achievements of the Amoskeag Fishways Partnership, an innovative private/public effort to provide environmental education in New Hampshire. The Amoskeag Fishways Partnership, comprised of Public Service of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Audubon, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, collaborates throughout the year to maintain and promote activities for people of all ages at an award-winning education and visitor center in Manchester, N.H.

Staff and volunteers from the Amoskeag Fishways partners will be on hand to talk about the partnership, and to answer questions about the Fishways; the natural and cultural history of the Merrimack River watershed; and the exceptional education activities of the Fishways since 1995.

PLACE:  PSNH Energy Park, 780 North Commercial Street, Manchester N.H.
DIRECTIONS:  From any direction, take I-93, Route 101, or Route 3 to I-293. Take exit 6 off I-293 and bear right. Cross the Merrimack River via the Amoskeag Bridge. Exit right off the bridge onto Canal Street. Make a right onto Commercial Street and turn right into Energy Park. Limited visitor parking in front of building; additional parking available.
