Fish Hatcheries Open for Visitors on May 29
CONCORD, N.H. -- New Hampshire Fish and Game's
six state fish hatcheries welcome the public to visit on Hatchery Open
House Day, Saturday, May 29, 2004, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the family
and come see where Fish and Game raises nearly a million trout that are
stocked in streams and lakes throughout the state every year. Get a guided
tour of the facilities and learn all about the art and science of raising
fish.

Hatchery Open House Day is the perfect opportunity
to stop in and check out the state's hatchery facilities, but the hatcheries
are open to the public throughout the summer. Hatcheries at Twin Mountain,
Warren, Berlin and Milford offer interactive exhibits as well as tours
and an up-close experience with fish -- from fingerlings to the big'uns,
ready to stock. During the summer months, New Hampshire's hatcheries are
open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The N.H. Fish and Game Department is the guardian of the state's fish,
wildlife and marine resources. Working in partnership with the public,
the Department conserves, manages and protects these resources and their
habitats.
