2014-15 Marine Rule Hearing September 2, 2014
CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing on proposed marine fishing rules for 2015 at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 2, 2014, at the Urban Forestry Center, 45 Elwyn Road, Portsmouth, NH 03801.
Rule changes being proposed by Fish and Game would:
- Decrease the daily limit for smelt, set a daily limit for white perch, prohibit disturbance of aquaculture gear, and clarify the requirements for maintaining eligibility for lobster and crab licenses after a suspension.
- Alter the rules for salter fishing in coastal waters and Berry Brook, increase the minimum length for cod and set daily limit for haddock taken by recreational angling, and change the recreational season for cod and haddock.
- Allow party and charter boats to possess more than one day’s limit of cod and haddock in certain circumstances (involving multi-day trips; written notification required).
