Public Hearing February 11, 2014, on Two Proposed Great Bay Shellfish Operations
DURHAM, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department will hold a public hearing regarding two proposed marine aquaculture applications for licensing on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 9:00 AM. The hearing will be held at the Department’s Region 3 Office, 225 Main Street, Durham, NH, 03824. The public is welcome to attend the hearing and to comment on the proposed aquaculture plans.
At 9:00 AM, the application of Ralph Jimenez and Ken Potter of the Joe King's Oyster Cooperative will be heard regarding a proposed one-acre bottom culture operation of American oyster. The proposed location is east of the Langley Islands in Upper Little Bay.
At 10:00 AM, the application of Jonathan Bunker, Bayside Oysters Farm LLC will be heard on his proposed 2.5-acre bottom culture site for American oyster and hard clam. The proposed location is offshore the north side of Fox Point in Newington.

Written comments on the proposed licenses may be submitted at the hearing or until February 25, 2014.
