Experience NH's Outdoors

CONCORD, N.H. -- It is an early spring afternoon and trapper Carol Leonard is on her way to set a beaver trap before the season closes. “There’s still a little ice, so they may not be out repairing their dams yet,” she says on her way down to the water’s edge. This segment and others will be airing during the month of April on New Hampshire Fish and Game’s “NH’s WildSide” television show.  Be sure to tune in and hear how Carol began her trapping pursuit and the challenges that go along with this traditional outdoor pastime.

"NH's WildSide" show, formerly known as “My Outdoors” is entering its fourth year. The half-hour show airs on WBIN-TV out of Derry, N.H., on Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. and Sunday nights at 11 p.m. To find a channel in your area that carries the program, visit and click on "Channel Guide."

"We bring outdoor adventure to you," says producer Jason Philippy, a Broadcast Media Specialist for the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. "The show aims to provide information about traditional recreational opportunities, and tips on becoming better hunters and anglers, at the same time it highlights the work Fish and Game does to manage the state’s wildlife resources. Of course, we also enjoy showing off the natural beauty of the Granite State."

Co-hosts Mark Beauchesne (Fish and Game's Advertising and Marketing Coordinator) and Hunter Education Instructor Christina Luppi help make NH's WildSide an entertaining and informative show that literally brings a breath of fresh air into your living room. Be sure to tune in soon to see what outdoor adventures they will take you on next!
