Atlantic Herring Days Out Meeting April 29, 2013
DURHAM, N.H. -- The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Atlantic Herring Section will hold a meeting on April 29, 2013, at 9:30 a.m., to discuss the allowable ‘days out’ measures for 2013 commercial herring harvesters. The meeting will be held at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's Region 3 Office, 225 Main Street, Durham, N.H. 03824. Parking is limited; please make an effort to carpool.
The 2013 Area 1A allowable catch was set at 29,480 metric tons, and seasonal quotas of 72.8% available from June 1 - September 30 and 27.2% available from October 1 - December 30.
The public is invited to participate, and public comment will be taken as time permits.

Vessels are prohibited from landing more than 2,000 pounds of Atlantic herring in Area 1A until June 1, 2013.
