Free Ice Fishing Class Offered in Greenland January 20, 2013

CONCORD, N.H. – Experience a time-honored New Hampshire tradition by joining the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department’s "Let’s Go Fishing" Program and the Greenland Recreation Department on an ice fishing adventure!  A free ice fishing class will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Greenland Central School, 70 Post Road.

The class is open to anyone; however, we recommend those 16 and under are accompanied by an adult.  Reserve your spot online at greenlandrec.com.

The class is free, and registration is first-come, first-served.  All equipment and materials will be provided.  You do not need to have a fishing license to participate.

The morning will be spent at the Greenland Central School, learning about equipment, safety, knot tying, fish identification, and basic winter ecology. In the afternoon we will head out to the local lake and put your newly learned skills to the test!
