but it is estimated to be about 5 to 6 lbs. The fish fought
like a baby
but weighted a ton on the end of the line

on a Bass Pro Tender Tube. The fish has a massive bottom lip!

was caught by Timmy Barrett, age 10, of Temple NH, while fishing
Lake Umbagog on July 3. Timmy was fishing with his uncle Tom
Faucher and was using a Wacky Rigged 6" Purple Worm. The

"Henry Ladd of Bow has
lived in the area for 76 years and sure knows the pond! The
fish were caught on 8/6/04 on Turee Pond, Bow, around noon,
using a crankbait. Both largemouth bass were 19 inches long."

really get!! Here is a picture of my son Brandon Holler of Pembroke
New Hampshire. He caught this striped bass at Hilton Park Dover
Point on Monday August 9. It was 43.5 inches long and weighed

"I was fishing at Lower
Suncook Lake today (6/24) around 6pm, caught my biggest fish
ever. It was a largemouth that weighed 4.75 pounds and measured
19.5 inches!! Put up a huge fight, and I will never forget today.
I was using my favorite lure, the Slugo 4 1/2" original.

"My son JJ Clark participated
in the town of Lee's fishing derby on May 8. The derby was held

30 minutes. His largest was a brown that was 10 3/8 inches long."

released by Alexandria Lafrenaye, age 11, of Milford, NH, in
a southern NH pond on June 19 (her brother -- presumably --

"A 33-inch mirror carp (variant of common carp) was caught
and released by Harry Wischnewski of West Lebanon, NH, in Mascoma
Lake in Enfield, on June 17 -- he wrote that it gave quite a

Grace Tamposi caught this
black crappie in Pennichuck Pond. She also hooked 12 largemouth
bass in a row at Sullivan Pond. "None were weighed or measured,

my two boys, Tyler and Sam. Tyler is 9 years old. He is fairly
experienced at fishing for trout. Sam is 8, and he is too intent
on rigging his line to pose for the picture... Recently, I started
catching bass at the Nashua River in Hollis, NH. I took the
boys there this morning (6-23-04), as I was catching several
bass at each visit. Well, it was scarce this morning, but Tyler
managed to catch his first bass, and it was no slouch. I estimate
it at over 1 pound, and about 10-11 inches." --David

Cody Foote hoists an 8.6-lb. brown trout caught by his grandfather,
Dennis Kirouac. Dennis said he was geared up with very light
tackle for smaller brookies on this day in late June (the
small N.H. pond is a secret), and says the big brown fought
a memorable battle!

a 27.25" landlocked salmon just over 7 lbs. caught by Jeff
Batula of Concord with some great boating and netting support
from State Rep. Chairman Peter Batula of Merrimack. Fish was
caught 6/12/04 on Pleasant Lake in Elkins NH. This beautiful
salmon was caught trolling, and put up a exciting 10 minute
fight. Fish was photographed, measured and released back safely,

"My 5-year-old son Konner
(above, left) caught his first fish this morning (5/8/04).
We were fishing with shiners at Lake Massabesic and he looked
like he was having a tug-o-war with his rod. He was confused,
and we asked him where he bobber was. "It went under,"
he told us. I held the rod and he cranked in this 4-lb., 8-oz.
largemouth. His first fish! Lets hope he hasn't peaked
